Kimmeridge Leaders to Speak at CERAWeek 2025

NEW YORK and DENVER, Feb. 27, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Kimmeridge, an alternative asset manager focused on the energy sector, today announced that Ben Dell, Founder and Managing Partner, as well as Chairman of Commonwealth LNG, along with Mark Viviano, Head of Public Equities, will be featured speakers at CERAWeek 2025, one of the premier global energy conferences, held March 10-14 in Houston, Texas.

Ben Dell will address the future of the LNG industry in a session on Wednesday, March 12, from 3:15 pm to 3:55 pm CT. As part of the panel titled, “The LNG Industry’s Next Wave of Growth,” Ben will focus on the path to meeting global demand for reliable, low-cost, energy. The featured speakers will explore how new projects coming online will reshape supply dynamics and influence global LNG market strategies in the years ahead.

Mark Viviano will participate in a panel titled, “U.S. Oil & Gas: How to Grow by 3 million Boe,” on Tuesday, March 11, from 11:30 am to 12:10 pm CT. Alongside other prominent energy executives, Mark will discuss the Trump Administration’s ambitious goal to increase US oil and gas production.

Executives from Kimmeridge-backed Commonwealth LNG, Kimmeridge Texas Gas, and Chestnut Carbon will also be in attendance. Commonwealth most recently received a conditional non-FTA export authorization from the DOE for the development of its 9.5 million tonnes per annum LNG facility in Cameron Parish, Louisiana. It separately received its draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. These milestones pave the way for final investment decision in September 2025 and first production by Q1 2029.

Likewise, Chestnut Carbon, a leading nature-based carbon removal developer, has significant momentum having recently signed significant offtake agreements with Microsoft and Mercedes. Chestnut also recently closed $160 million in a Series B financing. The proceeds will be used to grow its afforestation capacity and sequester an estimated 100 million tons of carbon over the life of Chestnut’s Sustainable Restoration Project.
